WELCOME TO RECOVERING HIPSTER
Kayte Green, Founder – Recovering Hipster
Art school taught me how to see. Fashion taught me how to feel. Thrifting taught me how to discover stories hiding in plain sight. I’ve spent years chasing those stories – across cities, countries, and second-hand corners of the world.
Recovering Hipster was born from that journey. An idea that turned into a doorway. A doorway that opened into a community. What started as my devotion to second-hand style has become a collective of curators who believe in mindful consumption, circular fashion, and the magic of giving objects a new chapter.
Over time, that community began to take shape – women who create, who collect, who mend, who imagine, who refuse to see sustainability as a trend, instead treat it as a way of moving through the world.
-
Little by little, Recovering Hipster evolved into a women-led collective: a gathering of voices, talents, and perspectives that enrich the space far beyond what I could have built alone.
Each curator brings her own story. Her own eye. Her own history of sourcing, making, salvaging, and reinventing. Together, we’ve created a living ecosystem where upcycling is celebrated, secondhand is honored, and the buy–sell–trade model becomes a pathway to more mindful, intentional second-hand goods..
The path of RH has never been linear – it’s been a series of bold steps, small pivots, and moments of serendipity that pulled the right women into the right place at the right time. What started as a personal vision has grown into a shared mission: to build a space rooted in creativity, community, and sustainability, where every object can find its next chapter and every woman has room to shine.
Recover Hipster isn’t just a shop. It’s a shared landscape of art, fashion, and found beauty. We’re recovering what matters, together.
MEET THE SHOP CURATORS
Each curator brings their own story. Their own eye. Their own history of sourcing, making, salvaging, and reinventing. Together, we’ve created a living ecosystem where upcycling is celebrated, secondhand is honored, and a consignment model becomes a pathway to a more mindful, intentional shopping experience.
Andrea & Kelsey | Big Fat Mood
Big Fat Mood was created by Andrea and Kelsey to better serve bigger bodies in the Denver area through in-person, plus-size shopping, community, and access. For many people in larger bodies, shopping can be frustrating, limited, or exclusionary. Most stores don’t carry plus sizes, vintage is rarely available above a certain range, and trying new brands or trends can feel out of reach. Big Fat Mood exists to change that.
They curate special pieces to create a welcoming space for self-expression for folks in bigger bodies, exclusively offering sizes L–6XL and highlighting options often overlooked in traditional retail. From vintage finds to contemporary styles, Big Fat Mood makes shopping exciting, creating a bold, inclusive space for folks in bigger bodies of all genders.
Because people in bigger bodies deserve options — and spaces that celebrate them.

Jaimie Briggs | Vinyl Devoition
Vinyl Devotion was founded in 2019 by Jaimie and Andy Briggs, a married couple whose shared passion for music has been at the heart of their twenty years together. What started as a love of record collecting blossomed into a business that values quality, care, and the connections that music creates.
Each record they sell is cleaned, inspected, and prepared with the same attention they give their own collection. For them, Vinyl Devotion is both a labor of love and a way to share the joy of music with others who appreciate it just as deeply.

Jillian Bryan | Hot Stuff Supply
Hot Stuff Supply is the passion project of Jillian Bryan, starting out as a collection for styling shoots during her Instagram photography days. The COVID pandemic put a hard pause on all in-person collaboration, so she sought solace rummaging through thrift stores. Soon enough, she realized she had too much clothing and experimented with pop-up markets. Ever since, it has been her greatest joy to connect one-of-a-kind pieces with their perfect person. A big believer in sustainability, she is eternally grateful for the innovative vintage community and its many supporters.

Kayte Green | Recovering Hipster
Kayte sees fashion the way some people see constellations; connected, storied, full of history.
She studied art, traveled the world, and learned that the best treasures don’t come straight from a box – they come with a past. Recovering Hipster started as a traveling closet, grew into pop-ups, and is now a brick-and-mortar collective dedicated to vintage, secondhand, and mindful consumption. Kayte created Recovering Hipster to honor the hunt, support women in business, and celebrate style without waste.
Megan Rees | Little Dogwood Vintage
Megan is the mom behind Little Dogwood Vintage, a thoughtfully curated collection of children’s vintage clothing. What started as a search for cool, well-made clothes for her three boys turned into a passion for finding pieces with personality and history. Tired of the same mass-produced kids’ styles, she began hunting for unique vintage finds — the kind that tell a story and last long enough to be loved by more than one family. Through Little Dogwood, Megan aims to offer something intentional and enduring — clothes that spark nostalgia, connect generations and help kids develop a style that’s all their own. When she’s not busy chasing her trio of boys or treasure-hunting for vintage finds, Megan works in public relations and serves on the board of WeeCycle, a Colorado nonprofit supporting families in need.

Jenniffer Trusty | Vintage High
Launched in 2019 by Jennifer Trusty, Vintage High is a carefully curated collection of true vintage clothing and accessories, primarily from the 1960s–90s. Items are selected for their quality, wearability, and modern appeal. Jennifer focuses on high-quality materials and unique details, whether it’s a pop of color, an unexpected silhouette, rich texture, intricate embellishment, or a perfectly lived-in fabric. Each piece is chosen to mix effortlessly into a modern wardrobe, offering a thoughtful alternative to fast fashion. She believes you can find a better-quality vintage version of almost anything you see in stores today, and many of today’s brands use vintage pieces for inspiration. Uncovering those kinds of gems is her favorite challenge.
After studying Apparel Design at Colorado State University, Jennifer interned in MTV’s wardrobe department in NYC, and spent nearly a decade in Los Angeles working in fashion styling and e-commerce before coming back to Colorado in 2019, when Vintage High was born. She loves doing personal, secondhand styling for clients and has sold everywhere from pop-ups to retail to online. To get her design fix, Jennifer also offers a selection of one-of-a-kind reworked vintage & custom pieces using recycled materials.

Lexi Wilson | LGT Vintage
Lexi has been a vibrant part of Denver’s vintage scene since 2015, sharing her thrifting adventures as Lexi Goes Thrifting across social media. After co-founding Garage Sale Vintage, she shifted her focus to empowering other vintage sellers and building community through Old School Cool Vintage Market—a beloved event she launched in 2018 that continues to thrive. Passionate about all things kitschy and nostalgic, Lexi’s personal collection includes Pee-wee’s Playhouse memorabilia and other wonderfully weird treasures. She loves mentoring emerging sellers, helping them turn their passion for vintage into thriving businesses.
